Who We Are

The Emirates Tourism Media Association (ETMA) is a professional association dedicated to supporting and developing tourism media in the United Arab Emirates. The Association brings together media professionals, journalists, content creators, tourism communicators, researchers, and partners from the tourism, culture, hospitality, and media sectors. 

The Association aims to strengthen the role of tourism media in promoting the UAE as a leading tourism destination by highlighting its cultural heritage, natural attractions, events, hospitality, and unique visitor experiences.

The Emirates Tourism Media Association (ETMA) was established under Ministerial Resolution No. 41 of 2025 issued by the Ministry of Community Empowerment and is licensed by the Department of Community Development – Abu Dhabi under license number NPO-A-M-100

To be a leading national platform that brings together media and tourism, and contributes to positioning the United Arab Emirates as a global model for innovative and sustainable tourism media.

Mission

To strengthen the role of tourism media in advancing national tourism by building a professional community of media practitioners and creative professionals working in this field, and by developing tourism media content that supports sustainable development in the UAE.

Our Role

  1. Promoting UAE Tourism – Showcasing the UAE’s destinations, attractions, heritage, events, and visitor experiences through creative media initiatives.
  2. Developing Tourism Media Professionals – Supporting journalists, media professionals, and content creators through training, workshops, and knowledge-sharing.
  3. Building Partnerships – Strengthening collaboration between media organizations, tourism authorities, cultural institutions, and private sector partners.
  4. Creating Innovative Content – Encouraging high-quality, interactive, and responsible tourism media content that reflects the UAE’s identity and tourism vision.
  5. Supporting Sustainable Tourism Development – Contributing to national and regional initiatives that promote responsible tourism and sustainable development.
