The UAE Cabinet’s Information and Decision Support Center revealed the country continues strengthening its position as a leading global tourism destination, based on a strategy of investing in infrastructure, innovation, and major tourism projects.
The ‘National Tourism Strategy 2031’ targets raising tourism’s GDP contribution to AED 450 billion, attracting AED 100 billion in new investments, and reaching 40 million hotel guests by 2031.
The report showed tourism contributed about AED 220 billion in 2023 (11.7% of GDP), with hotels welcoming over 28 million guests generating AED 43.5 billion in revenue, and the sector providing more than 809,000 jobs.
